Kalkan is situated on the South West corner of the glorious turquoise coast of Turkey, surrounded by the Taurus mountains.
You can relax in the street cafes or spend time in one of the nearby beach clubs, which offer sunbathing, swimming, water sports and restaurant facilities. The pebble beach at Kalkan is only a few minutes stroll from the villa so early an morning swim in the sea could be on your agenda.
In the evening there are a multitude of places to eat in Kalkan, from the harbour side and famous roof terrace restaurants to the street cafes and bars, forever popular with the young people. You can browse in the shops in the narrow streets which wind through
the town and which stay open until about midnight, looking at glassware, silver, jewellery, clothes, carpets and the traditional hand
painted pottery.
On Thursday there is a weekly market, selling everything, food, spices, clothes, household goods, shoes, table linen, pottery and much more.
